San Joseans – Are you ready to save energy, lower your bills, get fit and make a difference in the fight against climate change?

The City of San José has launched the Climate Smart Challenge to get the entire community involved in climate action, and we need your help!

The challenge is a fun and easy way to track the steps you’re taking to reduce your carbon footprint, from installing LED lights to getting out of your car and biking and walking more. The challenge is open both to residents and people who work in San José. The Challenge includes a range of actions, helpful tips and resources for you to track your financial savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions. It also provides an opportunity to engage and compete with your fellow community members.

We need you to be part of the movement! To register and start your challenge today, just click on “Join the Challenge” below. The top performers in the Climate Smart Challenge will be eligible to receive special recognition and prizes!

The challenge advances the goals of Climate Smart San José, our communitywide initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save water and improve quality of life.

The Climate Smart Data Dashboard tracks the City of San Jose’s progress towards meeting Climate Smart goals through key indicators related to Energy, Water, Mobility, Jobs, and Greenhouse Gas Emissions. You can view the trends and progress for each indicator and learn about what the City is doing to achieve each goal.

Together, we can make San José a better place for our families, children and future generations. Every action, big or small, makes a difference! Join the Climate Smart Challenge today.

Sincerely,

Kerrie Romanow, San José Environmental Services Director and Chief Sustainability Officer
